Best Weight Gainers UK : Top Mass Gainer Powders

The best weight gainer contains a good amount of protein, plenty carbs and some healthy fats.

The protein in a weight gainer should be high quality so that your body can readily absorb it. Not all weight gainers are the same.

Optimum Nutrition Serious Mass Gainer Protein Powder

Optimum Nutrition Serious Mass Gainer Protein Powder is designed for people who work out on the regular. It’s no ordinary weight gainer, as it has 50 grammes of protein and a carb to protein ratio of 5 to 1 (250 grammes carbs to 50 grammes protein). It also has a protein to fat ratio of 10 to 1 (50 grammes protein to 5 grammes of fat).

Two scoops of the powder provide 1,250 calories, making it somewhat ideal for people who need to increase their daily caloric intake. The high-calorie content and the high carb count can make it easy for you to pack on fat instead of muscle mass if you aren’t working out enough.

This mass gainer from Maxtrix Nutrition is absoloutely packed with protein and comes in Banana, Caramel Cheese Cake, Chocolate, Cookies & Cream, Strawberry and Vanilla.

It mixes easily and you’re not just limited to vanilla and chocolate like you are in some mass gainers. All flavours are equally priced too, which I like to see given that some competitors charge more for nicer flavours.

The powder tastes great and it mixes well. I’ve blended it with almond milk and cannot fault the mix-ability.

The value is incredible, especially if you decide to buy the 5KG tub. Seriously impressed.

Dymatize Super Mass Gainer

Dymatize Super Mass Gainer contains the most calories of all the products in this review: between 1,300 and 1,900 calories per serving.

The product has a carb to protein ratio of around 5 to 1, with 252 grammes of carbs per serving and 52 grammes of protein.

This powder is seriously thick so you’ll need a good blender to serve yourself a full portion. It also contains creatine which some of you may also be taking seperately. Check out our post on the best creating products to buy if you’re looking for more information
