jenious I can't take credit for this find. The vino was an engagement gift from our Burlington crew.
Sniff: My nose was eager for more with this clear purple MSG (38% Mourvedre, 35% Syrah, 27% Grenache). With each nose dive into the glass, I picked up hints of different aromas while the ones I had already discovered grew stronger in personality: Ripe black cherry, vanilla and spiced wood, blueberry, raspberry, blackberry, blackcurrant.
Taste: This wine warms the mouth, tucking it into a comfy nightcap on a chilly winter's evening. Its medium body slides a blanket of soft tannins around my gums, warming my mouth with impressive alcohol. The flavors swirl playfully together in a great balance. Tastes of earthy minerals and sweet wood linger with more delicate tastes of red and black raspberry, strawberry, sprinkled with chocolate shavings.
Eat: What a gift! I enjoyed a glass while others drank beer, on a snowy Friday night spent inside, and could picture this vino a perfect companion for weekend grub like pizza, burgers, or even some nosh-worthy salami and cheese picks atop a warm loaf of crusty bread.
